The advent of medical detection by dogs, particularly through pioneering programs like NOSAIS, has opened up exciting new possibilities for utilizing canine olfaction to enhance human health.
Leveraging the dogs’ extraordinary sense of smell, which can detect compounds associated with various diseases and medical conditions, NOSAIS has developed specialized training protocols. These protocols enable dogs to identify a wide range of illnesses, from cancer and infectious diseases to neurological disorders.
